In an interview with nikalab, Katarzyna Sosińska talks about her diet, what is crucial for her to function properly and whether the advice she would give to her 20-year-old self would work in her current stage of life.

For me, work life balance is... a slogan that I have been hearing since I started working in a corporation. I didn't know what it meant until my son came along. Today I try to achieve balance in general, not only at the work & life level. Each of us has so many areas of life and projects to implement that without proper balance, it all simply makes no sense.

My 3 most important daily health habits are...

  • Hydration – I try to drink plenty of water during the day.
  • Supplementation – I consider the daily base from nikalab to be an important habit of taking care of yourself.
  • Pilates – I practice Pilates on reformers and I feel my body thanking me for it.

The sport I practice regularly is... water skiing in the summer, and in the off-season the above-mentioned pilates on reformers. I want to return to running, which gave me a lot of energy and a sense of freedom.

I devote… not enough time to physical activity during the week – unfortunately. As a young mother who returned to work in a corporation, I simply don't have enough time in the day, but I'm sure I'll change that soon!

My motivation for sports... is the feeling when your body and muscles hurt, but because of physical exercise, not because of sitting in front of the computer. Anyone who works a lot while sitting knows exactly what I mean!

I would like to learn to meditate... and break away when I need to, go deep inside myself and talk to myself. This is how I imagine meditating. Currently, I have too many thoughts in my head and I can't forget myself. Maybe I'm not trying very hard? I don't know, but I'm sure this is an area where I can improve.

For me, a diet is... a lifestyle, not a short-term fad. I eat often, but in small portions. I have been providing dietary catering for many years, which I like very much. I eat everything, but in appropriate quantities, because quantity is the key in the daily diet.

I end the day by... analyzing what I have to do the next day. I am an organized and planning person. I like checking off things I've done and planning the next ones.

I spend… at least 8 hours sleeping . I need it. When my son was a newborn, my biggest problem was a small amount of sleep, and for me it is crucial for proper functioning.

The thing I do only for myself is... a manicure, because without it I'm even ashamed of myself 😊

My little sins are… sweets from time to time.

Happiness is for me... the greatest goal in life. Happiness for me and my family. The older I get, the more I see how difficult it is to be happy.

For me, luxury is... comfort in life. I discovered this recently. Luxury is not about things or expensive trips. It's a feeling of comfort in every aspect of my life.

My small daily steps in taking care of the planet are... I always look at the label of the clothes I buy. I use water to control it.

The advice I would give myself if I were 20 again is... calm down Kasia, everything will be fine. You are willing to take action and take care of it, but you don't have to stress out about everything. Actually, that's good advice for me for now! 😊
