We are looking for a balance between work, family, health, rest, physical exercise, beauty care and constant development and achieving success. We try to eat healthily, but we constantly feel stressed and tired. You know it? Find out how to support your body.
Modern women face many challenges every day. Our fast-paced lives are filled with various responsibilities, constant stress and tension. We strive to achieve professional success while facing many family demands.
In the face of such a rush and limited amount of time, regular and proper nutrition of the body is the basis for meeting all everyday challenges. However, even if we try to eat a healthy and varied diet, we have no guarantee that we get enough nutrients from food. As a population, we are still deficient in many nutrients, as scientific research proves.
The most common deficiencies include:
Agricultural and processing technologies affect the nutritional value of our products, which means that even seemingly healthy food may be poorer in nutrients than in the past. Example? The level of folates in vegetables has been decreasing for several decades. As some studies indicate, modern broccoli is twice as poor in terms of folate content than it was 40 years ago 6 . The content of minerals, e.g. magnesium, in various food products also drops dramatically. There may be up to 80% less magnesium in vegetables than there was 70 years ago 7 .
The absorption and demand for some ingredients may also be influenced by the specific features of our body, e.g. genetic mutations, which are not a rare occurrence. Up to 60% of people may have problems absorbing ordinary, synthetic folic acid. It is often added to food to prevent deficiencies and is found in many popular dietary supplements. However, most people may not only fail to absorb this substance, but may even jeopardize their health if they eat too much folic acid (more on this topic in this text ). Or, for example, choline - the body of every second person may use choline at an accelerated rate due to genetics 8 .
In turn, "sunny" vitamin D is not so easy to supplement with sun rays without endangering your skin. We wrote more about this in a separate article .
As a result, our body may still experience deficiencies that affect our health, beauty and well-being, even if we take care of a varied and healthy diet.
That's why at nikalab we have created the Everyday Base , which helps supplement a varied diet with ingredients that, according to research, we most often do not get in sufficient quantities from food. It contains ingredients necessary for the optimal functioning of a woman's body.
And if your life is full of responsibilities and stress, you often feel tired and distracted, or you exercise regularly, it is worth adding Magnesium + Vitamin B6 from nikalab to your daily base . This way you will provide your body with additional support.
Everyday base from nikalab is a set of vitamins, Omega-3 acids and other active ingredients that perfectly complement your varied and balanced diet. They offer holistic support for your health, well-being and beauty. Depending on the stage of life you are currently in, the composition of the Base and the benefits it offers will vary.
Everyday base for women 18-49 years old (me) contains Omega-3 acids from algae (DHA + EPA), vitamin D3 from algae, folate (vitamin B9), vitamin B12 and choline (vitamin B4). Ingredients of the Base combined with a varied diet:
You can read more about the product and the benefits it offers here.
Especially for mature women, we have developed the Everyday Base formula for 50+ years (me+) . Its composition includes Omega-3 acids from algae (EPA + DHA), vitamin D3 + K2 and antioxidants: coenzyme Q10, vitamin A + E, as well as choline (vitamin B4), vitamin B12, folate (vitamin B9).
The formula of the Base is aimed at supporting anti-aging activities and supporting the proper functioning of organs and systems that may function worse with age.
In turn, the Everyday Base "Woman · Dwa" was created for pregnant women . Its composition is consistent with the recommendations of the Polish Society of Gynecologists and Obstetricians and the results of the latest scientific research. This means that its effectiveness and safety have been scientifically proven. Base ingredients help:
More information about the Everyday Base for pregnant women can be found here .
To enhance the effects of our Bases, we have created an additional product - Magnesium + Vitamin B6 . In a world full of crises, challenges and changes, it will be a perfect complement to daily supplementation at every stage of a woman's life.
If you already supplement your diet with Niklab Daily Base, you have probably noticed the effects of well-being, strong health and a radiant appearance. If you also add our Magnesium to your daily base, you will feel the true synergy of the ingredients. What is this all about? We're already telling the story.
As we mentioned earlier, most Poles do not consume enough magnesium 18 . Deficiencies of this valuable mineral cause a number of unpleasant symptoms:
You can find more information on how to diagnose magnesium deficiency without leaving home in this article.
Magnesium is a compound that our body needs on many levels, from the DNA level to the health of the brain, bones and teeth. The role of this element increases even more if you deal with stress on a daily basis (e.g. at work, at university or in the family).
Magnesium deficiency and stress are connected in a vicious circle. On the one hand, stress leads to faster consumption of magnesium stores, and on the other, too little of this mineral in the body increases our susceptibility to stress. 19 . We may also need more magnesium if we have chronic diseases.
The body's need for magnesium is also increased by physical activity due to accelerated metabolism during training, loss of minerals through sweat and urine, as well as the need for greater support for muscle function and regulation of electrolyte balance in the body. Proper magnesium supply is crucial to maintaining good health and performance during training.
Magnesium deficiency is also associated with intense symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS). 20 . And its supplementation in combination with vitamin B6 helps reduce the severity of these symptoms 21 . Magnesium also helps to reduce inflammation in the body, which is helpful in various gynecological diseases, e.g. polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) or enodmetriosis 22 .
Its role is hard to overestimate even in mature women. Magnesium helps alleviate symptoms of menopause, including loss of bone density 23 , mood swings 24 or hot flashes 25 .
The demand for magnesium doubles (according to PTGiP) in pregnant women 26 . At the same time, it is difficult to "eat" the necessary amounts of this mineral with food ( we explain why this is so in this text ). However, magnesium during pregnancy becomes crucial because it also reaches the baby through the placenta, participating in its harmonious development (nervous system, tissues, bones, muscles, etc.). Magnesium during pregnancy can help women:
This element is also used by doctors to treat preeclampsia in pregnant women and to prevent premature birth. 27 .
Breastfeeding mothers can also benefit from the benefits of magnesium, which is extremely important during lactation 28 . Magnesium helps reduce the mother's stress level, which is essential for starting and maintaining proper lactation. Moreover, after giving birth, a woman's body mobilizes magnesium reserves from the bones to support the functioning of the mammary gland 29 . And although the concentration of this mineral in milk remains constant, a woman may experience deficiencies if she does not take care to replenish her magnesium stores.
As you can see, at every stage of life, magnesium is very important for our health and well-being.
Magnesium is the so-called macromineral, which means that our body needs it in quite large amounts every day. To ensure its supply in the optimal dose, we have created a separate product Magnesium with vitamin B6, which you can easily add to your supplementation routine and combine with the Everyday Base from nikalab.
This combination allows you to achieve the best results. The ingredients contained in the Bases complement each other with magnesium and vitamin B6 on a daily basis. They have a multi-dimensional effect on the entire body, which helps to take care of, among others:
You can read more about the effects of our magnesium here.
Magnesium in our dietary supplements is in one of the most digestible forms for the human body. It is an organic form - magnesium citrate, which is absorbed by up to 90%. For comparison: magnesium preparations popular on the market often contain inorganic magnesium, which can only be absorbed in 4-16%.
In order for magnesium to be effectively absorbed in the intestines and penetrate into the cells, we combined it with vitamin B6 thirty . Vitamin B6 is a key factor in regulating magnesium metabolism in the body. It activates enzymes responsible for the transformation and transport of magnesium in cells, which helps maintain the optimal level of this mineral.
This is not the only benefit of combining these ingredients. Magnesium together with vitamin B6 also additionally support:
Vitamin B6 in dietary supplements from nikalab is in the form of P-5-P (pyridoxal 5-phosphate monohydrate) . This form of vitamin B6 is considered superior to other forms for several key reasons 36 :
It is also worth paying attention to the fact that the ingredients of Nikalab dietary supplements come from top European suppliers and are enclosed in capsules that are resistant to stomach acids and reach the small intestine ( innovative DRCaps technology ). In this way, the ingredients can be properly absorbed in their optimal intestinal environment.
By choosing nikalab dietary supplements, you can be sure that the capsule shell and its contents will not dissolve in the stomach before anything can be absorbed. You can read more about the innovative encapsulation technology in a separate article .
